I shot Taking Julia in the early 2010 with some primitive film tools like a handheld Panasonic HD cam, a regular add-on mic and no light equipment on hand. Even with crappy equipments (or lack of), a good story can be told with a good script, awesome acting and technical editing. It shows you that you don’t need a lot of money to make a movie. All you need is just a dream and ambitions… and a lot of cool people to help you do the movie.
Yeah, now (2011) I got better equipment and have a much better experience in editing and action scene, which this film has plenty of.
